It was another good month for the Badger State, as the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development released the latest local job figures for October. The report revealed a decline in unemployment rates across all 12 metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) last month.
One statistical area is located in the region – the La Crosse-Onalaska area. There, unemployment fell 0.3 percent to 2.5 percent. That rate puts them tied with Madison for the lowest unemployment rate of any MSA.
Overall, the state’s cities and counties had a positive month, as unemployment rates declined or went unchanged in all 35 major cities and all 72 counties.
