Packers Lose Their Fourth Straight

The Green Bay Packers struggles continued as they returned home to face division foe, the Minnesota Vikings. The team suffered a 24-10 loss, their fourth straight loss. They’re now 2-5 on the year and slipping further away from playoff contention.

The Packers offense was unable to get anything going throughout the game, with their lone touchdown coming late in the third quarter when the team was already trailing by three scores. Outside of a field goal as time expired at the end of the first half, the Packers first four drives of the game ended in punts. In the second half, though the team was better at moving the ball down the field, four of their five drives ended in a turnover or a turnover on downs. The team had just 270 yards of total offense and were out-possessed by 13 minutes.

On the defensive side, the Packers did little to stop Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, who threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns before he left with an injury. And with a stagnant offense, the Vikings jumped out to a 24-3 lead that was too much to overcome.

The Packers will look to break their losing streak and turn things around as they play host to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, November 5th.
